This guide explains how to connect external accounts like Google and LinkedIn to your existing RevvedUp account, enabling single sign-on (SSO) capabilities and streamlined authentication.

Prerequisites
Before connecting external accounts:
Required:
An existing RevvedUp account (if you don't have one, learn how to sign up here)
Active Google or LinkedIn account you want to connect
Access to your RevvedUp account settings
Verified email address on your RevvedUp account
Important Notes:
You must have an existing RevvedUp account first
External accounts cannot be connected during initial signup
The email address must match between accounts for some features
Connecting Google Account
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access Account Settings
Log into your RevvedUp account using your email and password
Navigate to Settings
Click "Connected Accounts" in the left sidebar under USER SETTINGS
Step 2: Connect Google Account
In the Connected Accounts section, find "Google Account"
Click the "Connect Google Account" button
You'll be redirected to Google's authentication page
Select the Google account you want to connect
Review the permissions RevvedUp is requesting
Click "Allow" to grant access
Step 3: Confirm Connection
You'll be redirected back to RevvedUp
A success message confirms the connection
Your Google account email will be displayed
The "Connect" button changes to "Disconnect"
Using Google Sign-In
Once connected, you can sign in using Google:
From the Login Page:
Go to the RevvedUp login page
Click "Sign in with Google"
Select your connected Google account
You'll be automatically logged into RevvedUp

Browser will remember your preference
No need to enter RevvedUp password anymore
Managing Google Connection
View Connection Status:
Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
See connection date and account email
Check last login via Google
Review granted permissions
Disconnect Google Account:
Navigate to Settings → Connected Accounts
Find your connected Google account
Click "Disconnect" button
Confirm disconnection in the popup

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to Connected Accounts
Sign into RevvedUp with your email/password
Go to Settings from your profile menu
Click "Connected Accounts" in the sidebar
Locate the LinkedIn section
Step 2: Authorize LinkedIn
Click "Connect LinkedIn Account"
You'll be redirected to LinkedIn
Log into LinkedIn if not already signed in
Review the permissions requested:
Basic profile information
Email address
Professional information
Click "Allow" to authorize RevvedUp
Step 3: Complete Connection
Return to RevvedUp automatically
Verify successful connection message
Your LinkedIn profile name appears

"Account Already Connected":
This Google/LinkedIn account is linked to another RevvedUp account
Log into the other RevvedUp account to disconnect

Your external account email differs from RevvedUp email

Revoking Access
From RevvedUp:
Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
Click "Disconnect" on the account

Visit myaccount.google.com

Find RevvedUp and click Remove Access
Changes reflect in RevvedUp immediately
LinkedIn:
Go to LinkedIn Settings & Privacy
Select Data Privacy → Permitted Services
Find RevvedUp and click Remove

General Questions
Can I connect multiple Google accounts? No, you can only connect one Google account at a time. To switch accounts, disconnect the current one first.
Will connecting external accounts change my login email? No, your RevvedUp account email remains unchanged. External accounts are additional login methods.
Can I still use email/password after connecting external accounts? Yes, your original login method remains active. External accounts are additional options.
What happens if I delete my Google/LinkedIn account? You'll lose the ability to sign in via that method. Ensure you can still access RevvedUp via email/password.
Security Questions
Is connecting external accounts secure? Yes, we use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. We never see or store external account passwords.
Can RevvedUp post to my social accounts? No, we only request read access for profile information. We cannot post or modify your external accounts.
How do I know which accounts are connected? Visit Settings → Connected Accounts to see all active connections and their status.
What if my external account is compromised? Immediately disconnect it from RevvedUp and secure your external account. Update your RevvedUp password as a precaution.

Why can't I see the option to connect accounts? Ensure you're logged into an existing RevvedUp account. This feature isn't available during signup.
