Contact Scoring

Understanding ICP and Persona match scores in RevvedUp.

RevvedUp automatically scores each contact to help you prioritize outreach and understand fit. You can find the Prospect Score in the Contact View, displayed in the Prospect Score section of the Contact Details tab.

How Scoring Works

Each contact receives two scores:

  • ICP Match - How well they align with your Ideal Customer Profile

  • Persona Match - How well they fit your defined buyer personas

Both scores use a letter grade system (A-F) to indicate quality of fit.

Score Interpretation

Letter Grades

  • A: Excellent fit - highly likely to engage positively

  • B: Good fit - strong potential for success

  • C: Average fit - worth pursuing with right approach

  • D: Below average - may require more effort

  • F: Poor fit - consider deprioritizing

Using Scores Effectively

The Prospect Score card shows:

  • Overall assessment - "Aligns well with your Persona, ICP and is likely to respond positively to your messaging"

  • Visual indicators - Color-coded grades for quick scanning

  • Hover details - Question mark icons reveal the reasoning behind each score

ICP Match

Evaluates the contact's company and role against your Ideal Customer Profile criteria such as:

  • Company size and industry

  • Revenue and growth indicators

  • Technology stack

  • Market position

Example: "Partner (Consultant, Fractional, Agency)" with grade B

Persona Match

Assesses how well the individual contact matches your buyer persona characteristics:

  • Job title and responsibilities

  • Seniority level

  • Department and function

  • Decision-making authority

Practical Application

Prioritization

  • Focus on A and B scored contacts first

  • Use scores to segment your outreach

  • Adjust messaging based on fit level

Campaign Planning

  • Group similar scores together

  • Create targeted campaigns by score range

  • Track conversion rates by score level


Pro tip: While scores provide valuable guidance, they're just one factor. Sometimes a C-scored contact with the right timing can convert better than an A-scored contact who isn't ready to buy.
