Sequence & Pages Settings

Configure the templates and resources that power your personalization.

Important Note

⚠️ Templates lock after processing begins - Once you've processed contacts, templates cannot be changed to maintain consistency.

What Happens When Templates Change

If you modify templates while content generation is in progress:

  1. Existing generated content - Remains unchanged and uses the original template version

  2. Content being generated - Will use the updated template (may result in inconsistency)

  3. Tracking changes - It becomes very difficult to determine:

    • Exactly when templates were modified

    • Which contacts used which template version

    • What the original values were

Best Practice: Wait until all processing is complete before making template changes, or create a new campaign for significant template updates to maintain consistency across all contacts.

  2. Persona Questions - Associated with personas in your seller profile

  3. ICP Questions - Associated with ICPs in your seller profile

Automatic Inclusions RevvedUp automatically includes and runs:

  • Questions required by your templates

  • Questions from active personas in your seller profile

Variables Settings

Set default values for template variables to ensure consistency.

Variable Defaults

Managing Variables:

  • View all template variables

  • Set default values

  • Ensure consistency across contacts

  • Override during upload if needed

Variable Tips:

  • Set sensible defaults

  • Document variable purposes

  • Update as offerings change

  • Use when we don't need to research the values

When to Use Defaults

  • Standard information across prospects

Settings Best Practices

Lock-In Awareness

Once processing begins, template selection lock to ensure consistency. Plan accordingly:

  • Finalize templates before processing

  • Test with small batches first

  • Create new campaigns for major changes

Regular Reviews

Schedule periodic settings reviews:

  • Weekly for active campaigns

  • After each batch completion

  • When results plateau

  • Before scaling up

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Templates Won't Change

  • Already processed contacts

  • Create new campaign if needed

CRM Not Syncing

  • Check connection status

  • Verify list selection

  • Review update frequency

Variables Not Working

  • Ensure defaults are set

  • Check template syntax

  • Verify during upload

Automation Not Running

  • Confirm settings saved

  • Check integration status

  • Review error messages

Next Steps

With settings optimized:

  1. Process more contacts with confidence

  2. Monitor analytics for performance

  3. Use bulk operations for efficiency

Pro tip: The most successful campaigns start simple and gradually increase automation as confidence grows. Use settings to find your optimal balance of efficiency and control.
