Structure your content with H1 and H2 headings. Create clear hierarchy, improve readability, and highlight key concepts with properly formatted headings.

Quick Reference

  • Levels: H1 (main) and H2 (sub) only

  • Formatting: Bold, italic, color, alignment

  • Styling: Inherits theme settings

  • Content: Text, links, and emojis

Adding Headings

Method 1: Drag from Right Sidebar

  1. Click the Text category in the right sidebar

  2. Find Heading 1 or Heading 2 in the dropdown

  3. Drag it onto your page where you want it

  4. Click to start typing

Method 2: Slash Command

  1. Type /h1 or /h2

  2. Press Enter

  3. Type your heading

Method 3: Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Type # + space for H1

  • Type ## + space for H2

  • Auto-converts on space

Method 4: Convert Text

  1. Select existing paragraph

  2. Use format dropdown

  3. Choose H1 or H2

Heading Hierarchy

H1 - Main Headings

  • Largest size

  • Primary sections

  • One per major section

H2 - Subheadings

  • Smaller than H1

  • Subsections

  • Multiple per section

Floating Toolbar

When you select text in a heading, a floating toolbar appears with quick formatting options:

Block Type Conversion

Click the dropdown (shows "Heading 1" or "Heading 2") to convert to:

  • Paragraph

  • Heading 1

  • Heading 2

  • Quote

  • Bulleted list

  • Numbered list

This lets you quickly change heading levels or convert to other block types.

Font Size

Three size options for your heading:

  • Small - Subtle headings

  • Medium - Default size

  • Large - Maximum impact

Quick Formatting

The toolbar also provides:

  • Bold and italic buttons (for extra emphasis)

  • Text color options

  • Alignment controls (left, center, right)

  • Link insertion button

The toolbar follows your selection and disappears when you click away.

Best Practices

  • Clear hierarchy: H1 → H2, don't skip levels

  • Descriptive text: Tell what section contains

  • Concise length: 4-8 words ideal

  • Consistent style: Same formatting approach

  • One H1: Per major page section
