Block Nesting Rules
Not all blocks can contain other blocks. Understanding these rules helps avoid frustration:
Container Blocks (Can Hold Other Blocks)
Columns - Each column can contain any block EXCEPT other columns
Slideshow - Each slide can contain various content blocks
Toggle Group - Each toggle can contain text and media blocks
Content Blocks (Cannot Hold Other Blocks)
Paragraph - Text only
Heading - Text only
Quote - Text only
Image - Single image only
Button - Text and link only
Important Restrictions
No nested columns - You cannot place a Columns block inside another column
Group blocks are fixed - Card Groups, Testimonial Groups have predefined internal structure
Some blocks can't have other nested blocks - Columns, testomonial groups, slider groups, toggle lists and tables all have limitations for what blocks can be nested within them.
If you aren't seeing a block to add when you're working inside of a column or table - for example - it's likely due to the block nesting rules that exist.
Troubleshooting
