Testimonials

Seamlessly include customer proof in your outreach.

Overview

The Testimonials section in the GTM Playbook is your centralized library for customer proof. Testimonials added here can be reused across RevvedUp-generated content, including outbound emails, LinkedIn messages, and campaigns. A strong testimonial library increases credibility, builds trust, and reinforces your value proposition with real-world results.

See it in action in the video here:

Accessing Testimonials

  1. Navigate to GTM Playbook in the left sidebar

  2. Click Testimonials

  3. Click Add Testimonial to create a new one

Adding a New Testimonial

When adding a testimonial, you can choose from three methods:

1. Add from Website (Beta)

  • Enter the company name and website URL.

  • RevvedUp uses AI to scan the site and identify available testimonials.

  • Review and confirm the extracted content before saving.

Best for: Quickly importing existing testimonials from customer pages, case studies, or landing pages.

2. Upload from Document (Beta)

  • Upload a document (e.g., PDF, Word, or text file) containing testimonials.

  • RevvedUp extracts testimonial data and structures it automatically.

Best for: Migrating testimonials from sales decks, case studies, or internal documents.

3. Add Manually

  • Enter the testimonial details yourself.

  • This provides the most control over wording, formatting, and attribution.

Best for: High-impact testimonials where accuracy and positioning matter most.

Required Fields

To ensure testimonials display correctly and can be used in generated content, all required fields must be completed. Incomplete testimonials will not appear in outputs.

Quote: Add a short, powerful statement that captures the key takeaway or result from the customer.

Story: Write the full testimonial describing the customer’s experience - what challenge they faced, how your product helped, and what results they achieved.

Photos: Upload a headshot and / or company logo. These images are displayed in the Testimonial Group block on generated pages.

Seller Profile, ICP and Persona: tag the appropriate fields to which these testimonials are relevant.

The best fitting testimonials will be selected by the AI as part of the content creation process and interwoven in the generated contents for the prospect.

How Testimonials are Selected

Under "Seller Profile" a setting is available to control how testimonials get selected and intertwined into the content. Select one of the options below in your Seller Profile.

  • Default: We look through all seller testimonials in the account and select the best one. It will include testimonials that are not tagged against the seller profile. This option gives extra weight to the testimonials that are tagged against the seller profile.

  • Tagged Only: Only considers the testimonials that are specifically tagged against the seller profile.

  • Custom Context: A custom context is used to select the testimonials. This value comes from the text input for testimonials on the seller profile.

How Testimonials are Embedded

Sequences

To add a testimonial to a Campaign sequence, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to GTM Playbook in the left sidebar

  2. Click Sequences

  3. Include <testimonials> in the prompt

  • For example: Include an example of how the <seller> can help solve that challenge, and add a relevant <seller-testimonial>

Tips for Effective Testimonials

Content Guidelines

  • Be specific: Include measurable outcomes (e.g., “increased sales by 45%”).

  • Keep it real: Use authentic quotes from real customers.

  • Vary your sources: Include testimonials from different industries, company sizes, or use cases.

  • Quality over quantity: 3–6 strong testimonials outperform a large set of generic quotes.

  • The best fitting testimonials will be selected by the AI as part of the content creation process and interwoven in the generated contents for the prospect.

Writing Strong Testimonials

The most effective testimonials typically include:

  • A specific problem that was solved

  • Measurable results or improvements

  • An emotional connection to the solution

  • A clear recommendation or endorsement

Best Practices
